Freddie Sears
Great to see him getting played as an out and out striker finally
Absolutely flying for ipswich......21 goals and if the carrot crunchers get into the play offs could be nearer the 30 mark the way he's going
Shows how criminal it was to let him go for fuck all and bring in that over the hill lump of turd Carew.....
I think he'll go onto have a good career would love to see him in the prem next season

If only we'd persevere with younger players instead of signing shit old cunts.

Good old WHU that.

Re: Freddie Sears
Wasn't good enough to stay. Having a purple patch of 10 games in the championship 4 years later doesn't mean he'd be any good for us now either.

Good luck to him though, I wouldn't mind Ipswich going up.

Re: Freddie Sears
Whenever I saw him I thought he had the makings of a striker. Good luck to him.

Re: Freddie Sears
Always thought he looked threatening from the right so presumably would also be, eventually, as a proper striker. Hope he keeps flying (back to us if he gets that good..!)

Re: Freddie Sears
I think it's a shame this club has been poorly managed and see Sears as an example of that.

He still needs to get on the protein shakes.

Good luck to him though.

Re: Freddie Sears
My best mate's an Ipswich fan and loves him. Not just the goals, says he is a proper class player. Although I wish he'd become a class player for us, more than anything I'm just chuffed for the lad. Hope he continues to kick on.

Re: Freddie Sears
Carr reckoned he was the best player in his age group in the whole of Europe when 17. I believe he has developed into a tidy striker, it's just a shame the BFS striker tombola isn't designed for tidy strikers.

Re: Freddie Sears
Always thought he had good movement off the ball, sadly he wouldn't get a look in in the premier league as the old fashioned poacher is redundant these days.

Re: Freddie Sears
Until a top club does it and gets success - then you will see all the frauds like our mug jump on the bandwagon

You'd be hard pressed to find clubs taking risks in the PL yet those that do succeed and out of those that don't three always get relegated.

Re: Freddie Sears
Pleased for him, if Ipswich get promoted and Freddie continues with the goals, I think our coaching staff should be lined up and shot.

Re: Freddie Sears
Had to be thrown in to action well before he was really mature enough to be involved due to an injury crisis. Did better than anyone probably expected in those first few first team games and was given a longer spell and then when faded a bit was dropped and then eventually moved on. Poor management in my book.

Re: Freddie Sears
Said it when he was with us, seemed a massive confidence player to me. And being 5"7, with our manager in charge, he was never going to be given time and backed in his proper role. He's never been a winger.

FREDDIE SEARS WONT SCORE GOALS IN THE PREM

OR PLAY FOR ENGLAND

HE'S OUT IF HIS DEPTH

WILL GET FOUND OUT

Re: Freddie Sears
Allardyce got rid of him, but he played under about 7 managers for us and on loan and did very little.

He is 25 and only just proving himself in the championship, are people really that gutted?

Re: Freddie Sears
To be fair he was shit for a good few years, we'd have been the most patient club in the world to persevere with him that long. Thankfully through playing in the lower leagues and getting first team football he's been able to forge a decent career but to say he'd good enough for us now is ridiculous.

Sad to see how many bitter cunts there are on here. Good luck to him and always take an interest in his career.

Re: Freddie Sears
Possibly a late developer. Saw him playing for Colchester a few times and he didn't look as if he had what was required for the Premier League.
